Employee Resource Groups (ERGs): Affinity Groups & Professional Groups
Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network, Inc., and all the programs of the Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network, support several Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) in the forms of affinity groups and staff professional groups as a part of the network's ongoing commitment to supporting inclusion and belonging within the network.
The goal of the groups is to create a safe space for participants to share their experiences related to their race, ethnicity or other basis that is the shared affinity or characterization of the group members. The groups allow members to feel supported and connected with others within the group. The groups also amplify the voices of those experiencing inequality and injustice and provide mentoring and networking opportunities for the group members.
The groups are open to all staff members, regardless of their position, from any of the programs in the Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network, including PLAN, Inc., who self-identify as being a member of the group.
