PLAN Staff Affinity Groups and Professional Groups
Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network, Inc., and all the programs of the Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network, support several staff affinity groups and staff professional groups as a part of the network's ongoing commitment to supporting inclusion and belonging within the network.
The groups are open to all staff members, regardless of their position, from any of the programs in the Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network, including PLAN, Inc., who self-identify as being a member of the group.
The goal of the groups is to create a safe space for participants to share their experiences related to their race, ethnicity or other basis that is the shared affinity or characterization of the group members. The groups allow members to feel supported and connected with others within the group. The groups also amplify the voices of those experiencing inequality and injustice and provide mentoring and networking opportunities for the group members.
Currently the following groups are in operation:
Asian Pacific American Staff Affinity Group
Black Staff Affinity Group
Latinx Staff Affinity Group
LGBTQ+ Staff Affinity Group
Social Worker Professional Group
