Heirs Properties and Tangled Titles

The PLAN Homeownership & Consumer Rights Law Group is hosting a first-ever state-wide in-person conference on Heirs Properties and Tangled Titles.  The conference will be held in Harrisburg on Thursday, March 6, 2025, starting at 2:00 PM, through Friday, March 7, 2025 at 4:00 PM.  

Topics to be discussed include:

  • Introduction to Probate: Raise and Administer an Estate
  • Introduction to Estate Planning: Drafting Wills, powers of attorney and advanced medical directives
  • Litigation and other solutions to Tangled Title issues
  • Local and State policy solutions to heirs' property and tangled titles
  • Understanding state inheritance and Medicaid estate recovery 

There will be a limited number of overnight rooms available on the night of March 6.  If you need an overnight room, they are available at the special rate of $189 plus tax and $15.00 for parking. A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided on March 7. Dinner the night of March 6 is on your own.

PLEASE NOTE: Attendees are responsible for remitting payment of their bill upon check out of the hotel. Rooms are limited so please register as soon as possible.

Registration is free to staff of the following PLAN Network programs: CJP, CLS, JAW, LASP, MPLS, NLSA, NPLS, NWLS, PHLP, PILP, PLA, PULP, RHLS and SLA. Registration includes meals and CLE credits. 

Registration for staff of non-PLAN public interest, government or other non-profit organization is $150. 

Registration for other registrants is $295.

CLE Credit

This program has been approved by the Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board for 9 hours of substantive law, practice and procedure CLE credit.
