The Legal Services Corporation (LSC) has announced that Wendy L. Rhein has joined its staff in the role of chief development officer. She will be responsible for providing strategic planning and management of LSC’s private fundraising efforts.

With more than a dozen years of development, communications, and branding experience, Rhein brings expertise in strategic planning, program development, fundraising, grant writing, and training. She has served as director of advancement, marketing, and communications for the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, as executive director of The Well Project, and as director of campaign themes and new initiatives for U.S. Fund for UNICEF.

“We are very pleased to welcome Wendy,” President James J. Sandman said. “Her knowledge of fund development will help LSC expand the resources available to promote equal access to justice in civil cases.”

Rhein earned a B.A. in Women’s Studies and Communications from the University of Michigan and a Master of International Affairs in Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs from Columbia University.
