The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is offering a webinar training on its Your Money, Your Goals – a financial empowerment toolkit for legal aid organizations on Thursday September 10, 2015 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm.

The modularized toolkit is designed for use by legal aid and pro bono staff to help clients identify and access resources for their financial challenges.

The CFPB, through its Office of Financial Empowerment, developed Your Money, Your Goals training and toolkit initiative to help intermediaries – legal aid staff and others – understand better the financial issues their clients may face and help them access the resources and tools they need to address them.

  Find out how to integrate the information and tools in the toolkit into your organization’s work to help staff identify and access resources for clients by taking this webinar training from CFPB.  The toolkit has information and resources addressed to frontline staff and tools designed for use by clients to help them identify and address financial topics. For example, the frontline staff can help clients:

• Order and fix credit reports
• Avoid tricks and traps as they choose financial products
• Make decisions about repaying debts and taking on new debt
• Look at their spending decisions to see how they can help them reach their goals
• Keep track of their income and bills
• Know where to go for help with financial products and services
