The Pennsylvania Bar Institute will be presenting a program entitled Representing Residential Landlords and Tenants live from Mechanicsburg and via simulcast around the state on June 26, 2012. The program will also be presented live in Pittsburgh on June 12, 2012 and live in Philadelphia on July 24, 2012.

The economy has had a major impact on the number of landlords and tenants in Pennsylvania. Owners who never rented before are doing so now out of financial necessity. There are many former owners who are now tenants. New landlords and tenants are often not well versed in the law and need assistance.

This program has been approved for 6 Total CLE credits, 1 of which may be applied toward Ethics.

PBI Policy on Legal Services / Public Interest Lawyers:

PBI waives the tuition fee for the first 12 hours of CLE taken in each calendar year, for attorneys employed full-time by many nonprofit legal services and public interest organizations providing legal services to individuals at no or de minimis fees. These attorneys may enroll for additional CLE courses at 50 percent of the highest member fee. This policy does not apply to distance education courses.
