Online Training: What a HotDocs Developer Should Know About Microsoft Word
This training, entitled What a HotDocs Developer Should Know About Microsoft Word is free to the legal aid community as part of NTAP's Community Training Series and is presented through a partnership between LSNTAP and Pro Bono Net. The training will be held on December 9, 2009 from 2:00-3:30 pm.
In developing textual (rtf) templates for delivery on LawHelp Interactive, the national document assembly server, it is important to pay attention to the roles that HotDocs and Microsoft Word play. You can get optimal results by using the right tool for the right purpose. This session will cover the use of styles, automatic paragraph numbering, cross references, headers, footers, and section formatting in the document assembly context. We'll be using Word 2007, but most of the concepts and techniques also apply to earlier versions.
