Webinar (Aug 26): SNAP Work Requirements Begin September 1: What You Need to Know

Community Legal Services of Philadelphia and Just Harvest are presenting a webinar entitled SNAP Work Requirements Begin September 1: What You Need to Know on August 26, 2025 from 2:00 PM-3:00 PM Eastern on Zoom.

As a result of a new federal law, more than 230,000 SNAP recipients in Pennsylvania will need to prove that they are meeting harsh work requirements to keep their SNAP benefits or get an exemption.

Join experts from Community Legal Services of Philadelphia and Just Harvest to learn more about these changes and receive training on how to keep people connected to SNAP if they are subject to work requirements. New restrictions to immigrant eligibility that could be implemented within the next few months will also be covered during the webinar.

What You'll Learn:

  • Overview of new SNAP work requirements and implementation timeline
  • Who will be subject to these requirements
  • Available exemptions to work requirements and qualification criteria
  • Changes to immigrant eligibility requirements and possible timeline
  • Practical strategies for assisting affected community members
  • Resources and referral information for your organization

Presenters:

  • Louise Hayes, Community Legal Services
  • Ann Sanders, Just Harvest
