Lori A. Molloy Named Executive Director of North Penn Legal Services
North Penn Legal Services has announced that Lori A. Molloy, Esq. has been named the new Executive Director of North Penn Legal Services.
After a thorough search process, a Search Committee appointed by the Board of Directors unanimously recommended NPLS’ Director of Legal Advocacy and Acting Executive Director, Lori Molloy, Esq., who was authorized by vote of the full Board on Thursday, October 25, 2018.
Ms. Molloy has been an attorney at North Penn Legal Services for 21 years, serving as the Managing Attorney of the Bethlehem Office until her promotion to Director of Legal Advocacy in 2017.
Elizabeth Nanovic Burton, Esq., NPLS’ Board President, stated that “the Board is impressed by Lori’s years of dedication to client services and her forward thinking, which will further NPLS’ mission. We look forward to supporting Lori and her goals to ensure the continuation of NPLS’ growth and success.”
Lori Molloy responded to the announcement by saying, “I am proud to work with dedicated staff, a committed Board of Directors, and many community partners in 13 locations across Northeastern Pennsylvania, and I’m looking forward to the challenges ahead.”
North Penn Legal Services, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, provides free civil legal assistance to low-income and vulnerable populations in Northeastern Pennsylvania and equal access to justice for all.
Services include individual representation (ranging from document preparation to litigation), information, referral and advice through a telephone helpline, community legal education, and support for those clients who will be taking responsibility for handling some or all aspects of their own problem.
