The Pennsylvania offices of the U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division is hosting a free webinar entitled Workers' Rights in the Home Care Industry on January 25, 2023 from 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM Eastern.

Home care workers, community groups, unions, and worker advocates are invited to attend this FREE webinar on the Fair Labor Standards Act providing answers about overtime, travel time, bonus pay, timekeeping, how to file a complaint and other important topics.

The U.S. Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division finds violations in 80% of Care Industry investigations. Since 2021, these investigations recovered more than $28.6 million in back wages and damages for nearly 25,000 workers, and led to assessments of nearly $1.3 million in civil monetary penalties.

This webinar is part of WHD's renewed commitment to enforcing workplace protections, educating employers and workers about the law, and raising public awareness about home health care workers’ rights.
