Advocacy Exchange: How Lawyers & Clients Can Work with the Media—Even at an LSC Program

Shriver Center logoThe Clearinghouse Community, part of the Sargent Shriver National Center on Poverty Law, will be holding the August 2018 episode of the Advocacy Exchange webcast, How Lawyers & Clients Can Work with the Media—Even at an LSC Program, on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm Eastern. The Advocacy Exchange is a monthly conversation hosted by the Clearinghouse Community with advocates advancing change.

Clients do not have a ready outlet through which they can broadly share their lived experiences of injustice in a way that might make things better. Legal aid advocates—including those who work for Legal Services Corporation-funded programs—can be critical sources and partners for journalists. But how?

Join the August 2018 episode of the Advocacy Exchange, for a conversation with Kevin De Liban of Legal Aid of Arkansas and Søren Dal Rasmussen of Voices for Civil Justice. They will discuss best practices for legal aid advocates working with the media and specific examples from Arkansas.
