Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network Bankruptcy Training (Harrisburg)

Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network, Inc., Community Legal Services, and Neighborhood Legal Services are proud to announce a three-part training series on how to file a bankruptcy to save a homeowner’s home.  This training is designed for all advocates interested in learning more about mortgage foreclosure and bankruptcy.

The training series is open to all PLAN program members and intended for attorneys and paralegals. It is recommended that advocates attend both the webinars and in-person trainings as they will be building off of each other, but more experienced advocates may wish to attend some but not all of the trainings.

One (1) substantive credit will be offered for each of the webinars and six (6) substantive CLE credits will be offered for the full day training at each location.

This is the final event of the series (also being presented in Cranberry Township/Pittsburgh) with additional training being held on:

This Training:

Michael Froehlich and Jonathan Sgro of Community Legal Services will lead an in-person training on tricky situations that arise when completing bankruptcy petitions, filing objections to proofs of claim and motions to avoid liens, defending motions to dismiss, litigating adversary proceedings, and representation at the confirmation hearing.

Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided for attendees of the training. Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network, Inc. (PLAN) will cover the cost of the CLE credits.

Registration Fee:

  • PA Legal Aid Network Program Staff:  No Charge
  • Other Non-Profit, Government Attorney or Staff:  $50.00
  • Private Attorney or Other Registrant:  $175.00

PLAN is also able to offer PLAN program staff, for this training, reimbursement for travel expenses such as mileage, tolls, and parking for two attendees from each of the PLAN programs.  Parking will be covered at the standard parking garage daily rate.

Carpooling is expected when appropriate.

If an overnight room is needed that will be decided on a case-by-case basis and attendee(s) will need to contact Kelly Bock Yeckley at kbockyeckley@gmail.com or 717-236-9486 ext. 201.

PLAN is able to offer these reimbursements for this training but may not be able to do so in the future.

CLE Credit

This program has been approved by the Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board for six (6.0) hours of substantive law, practice and procedure CLE credit.
