Webinar: Local Policy to Preserve and Promote Manufactured Housing
The Corporation for Enterprise Development (CFED) and the National Consumer Law Center, are hosting a webinar entitled, Local Policy to Preserve and Promote Manufactured Housing, on September 2, 2010 from 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm Eastern.
This webinar is designed for owners of manufactured homes, affordable housing advocates, legal services agencies and others working with low-income homeowners living in land-lease communities, state and local policymakers, and others interested in expanding affordable housing opportunities in their communities.
The webinar will highlight key local policies that impact the availability and opportunities of manufactured housing as a viable, affordable housing choice, including zoning, moratoriums and other local ordinances.
The webinar will include local advocates with practical tips on how to best influence local policies to support low-income homeowners, including information on the consolidated and comprehensive planning process. The policy content of this webinar will draw from the resource guide, Advocating at the Local Level, available on the Manufactured Housing Advocacy Center Toolkit page.
This webinar is part of a Manufactured Housing Webinar Series. Regardless of the economic landscape, affordable housing persists as a challenge in many communities across the country.
