Free Webinar: Medicaid & Social Security Benefits for Transition-Age Youth with Disabilities - March 26
The Pennsylvania Health Law Project is hosting a free webinar entitled Medicaid & Social Security Benefits for Transition-Age Youth with Disabilities on March 26, 2024 from 9:30 AM-11:30 AM Eastern.
Medicaid is an important safety net for children and adults with disabilities. It offers health insurance and services that help people stay independent and healthy. The rules to qualify for Medicaid change at age 18. It is important to prepare for this transition in order to avoid breaks in coverage or services.
In this 2-hour training, Janice Meinert, Paralegal with the Pennsylvania Health Law Project (PHLP) will join Elaine Cole, Public Affairs Specialist with the Social Security Administration, will discuss the following topics:
- Who qualifies for Medicaid and Social Security benefits?
- How do I apply for these programs?
- What happens if my application is denied?
- How can I work and keep my benefits?
