Unemployment Compensation and COVID-19: What You Need to Know (Repeat Presentation)

Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network, Inc. is offering a webinar entitled Unemployment Compensation (UC) and COVID-19: What You Need to Know on Thursday, March 26, 2020 from 1:00 PM–2:00 PM.

From approximately 2:00 PM to 2:15 PM the presenter will be taking any questions you may have. This portion after 2:00 PM is optional and will not count towards the CLE credit.

This is a repeat presentation of the webinar offered on March 20, 2020 which reached full capacity. This presentation will offer the SAME CONTENT as the original presentation and is offered to accommodate those who could not attend the original presentation.

During the current health crisis, many of our clients will temporarily or permanently lose their jobs, be unable to reach their workplace, or will be forced to stay home based on their own mild symptoms or the symptoms of a household member.  These clients should be eligible for unemployment compensation.

Please join this webinar to get basic training and information on Pennsylvania's unemployment system and to learn about current changes to law and procedure based on Covid-19.  UC may be the only form of income available to our clients during this crisis and we must make sure they apply and have representation if they are wrongly denied benefits.

Presenter:

  • Julia Simon-Mishel, Esq., Philadelphia Legal Assistance.

CLE Credit:

This program has been approved by the Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board for one (1.0) hour of substantive law, practice and procedure CLE credit.

PLEASE NOTE:  if you are requesting CLE credit for attending this webinar you must actively participate in the entire webinar.

There will be interactive polls launched during the webinar that you will have to respond to in order to prove your active participation.

IF WE DO NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE TO EVERY POLL QUESTION WE ARE UNABLE TO GIVE YOU THE CLE CREDIT.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
