DAP – SSI/SSDI Field Office Roundtable: What’s Working and What Could be Better
Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network, Inc. has scheduled our next monthly DAP – SSI/SSDI Skill Building series webinar, entitled DAP – SSI/SSDI Field Office Roundtable: What’s Working and What Could be Better for Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 2:00 pm- 3:30 PM Eastern.
Social Security's field offices are underfunded and understaffed, and SSI/SSDI claimants and advocates are suffering as a result. Phone wait times are longer than ever, paperwork isn't getting processed, and voicemails and other communications are rarely returned. Unfortunately, Congress's ongoing budget stalemate means that the situation may get worse before it gets better.
Please join DAP advocates for a 90-minute conversation about field office dysfunction and advocacy strategies. Please come prepared to share pain points and ways in which you and your colleagues are solving problems with and for your SSI/SSDI clients in these difficult times.
Included in the registration form for this program are several survey questions. Your feedback will help shape the agenda for the conversation. The survey questions include:
- Which field office(s) do you interact with most?
- What are the top one or two problems you're having with field office dysfunction?
- What types of cases or client issues are hardest to resolve due to field office dysfunction?
- What is one strategy you're using to resolve client problems at field offices?
CLE Credit
This program has been approved by the Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board for 1.5 hours of substantive law, practice and procedure CLE credit.
