The Independent Court: What It Is and Why It Matters - Oct. 6

Widener University Commonwealth Law is hosting a program entitled The Independent Court: What It Is and Why It Matters on October 6, 2025 from 6:00 PM-7:30 PM Eastern at the law school located at 3737 Vartan Way, Harrisburg, PA.
The program is free to attend and open to the public.
This nonpartisan program will examine the critical role of the courts as one of the three co-equal branches in our government.
The panel for the program features two retired federal judges Andre Davis and Robert Kugler, as well as PA Commonwealth Court’s President Judge Emerita Bonnie Leadbetter.
The panel will discuss and answer questions on several timely and significant topics, including the judiciary’s critical role in upholding our democratic principles and the need to protect judicial independence at the state and federal levels.
