The Pennsylvania Health Law Project is hosting a webinar entitled MAWD & Workers with Job Success: How to Keep Medical & Disability Benefits While Working on October 9, 2024 from 2:00 PM-3:15 PM Eastern.

During this webinar attendees will learn about Medical Assistance for Workers with Disabilities (MAWD), a state-run health insurance program.

MAWD provides low-cost coverage to people who are disabled and working. Presenters will also spend time reviewing the new category of MAWD coverage known as Workers with Job Success (WJS). WJS allows people on MAWD to earn and save more and still keep their benefits.

  • Topics covered will include:
    •    Who qualifies for these programs?
    •    How do I meet the work and disability eligibility requirements?
    •    What documents are needed to show employment and disability?
    •    How much can I work and still qualify for benefits like Social Security?
    •    How do I apply? What happens if my application is denied?

Please email dcasserly@phlp.org with accommodation requests.
