Webinar: From White Paper to Work Plan: Building the Future of Disaster Legal Services

The second event in a Disaster Legal Services Town Hall series will be held virtually on September 24, 2025 from 3:00 PM-4:30 PM Eastern. This program and series seeks to build on the momentum for stronger, more equitable legal responses in times of disaster.

This national conversation will center on key findings from the prior May 28, 2025 webinar—Strengthening Local Impact: Identifying Best Practices for Disaster Legal Services Outreach—and the resulting white paper.

Together, we will:

  1. Highlight and prioritize the Collective Action activities identified in the White Paper;
  2. Explore practical pathways for implementation at the local, regional, and national levels; and
  3. Discuss how to strengthen our organizational response and better serve communities impacted by disasters.

This is an opportunity to help shape the next phase of disaster legal services through informed dialogue and shared leadership. The session is open to all—new participants are also welcome.

This event is free to attend, but participants must register online.

Co-hosted by: The American Bar Association (ABA) Young Lawyers Division Disaster Legal Services Program, the ABA Standing Committee on Disaster Response & Preparedness, Equal Justice Works, and Pro Bono Net
