Join MidPenn Legal Services for a moderated panel to discuss how legal services and programs from the academic and faith communities can increase access to justice for individuals in rural areas. Learn about the specific work that MidPenn Legal Services, Penn State Law, Centre County Adult Services and Faith United Church of Christ do in your community.

Participants will gain insight into how legal deserts intersect with broader social service needs, and how collaborative strategies can help mitigate the justice gap in regions like Centre County. This timely and thought-provoking session will explore the growing challenges posed by legal deserts—geographic areas where there are too few attorneys to meet community needs—and the implications for access to justice in Pennsylvania.
