Free Webinar: Big Changes to Student Loans: What You Must Do Now to Protect Your Income & Rights - March 5
Community Legal Services of Philadelphia, along with the City of Philadelphia, Mayor’s Office of Education and Office of Community Empowerment, are hosting a FREE Student Loan Webinar on Thursday, March 5th at 12:00 PM Eastern.
There are big changes happening to student loans that affect borrowers. Some borrowers, especially parents who took out loans to pay for their kids’ education, may be required to take immediate steps to keep the right to affordable repayment. Many borrowers are also behind on payments and must act now to avoid collections.
Join this webinar to learn about what to do to stay eligible for Income-Driven Repayment (IDR) plans, make progress toward loan forgiveness, and avoid collection through tax refund intercepts and wage garnishment—whether you’re a defaulted borrower, a Parent PLUS borrower, or simply navigating the new system.
Although this is being hosted in Philadelphia it applies to all borrowers.
Space is limited for this presentation so you should register immediately to secure your spot.
Additional information, including a new fact sheet is available from Community Legal Services on its website.
