Peoples Gas has proposed to raise rates for its customers by approximately $156 million. The proposal could increase consumer bills by as much as 21%.

The Public Utility Commission (PUC) is hosting six public input hearings to hear from communities about the impact this rate increase will have on Peoples’ customers. If you or your community will be affected by the rate proposal, you are strongly encouraged to participate in the public input hearings.  

In-person hearings are being held in Monroeville, PA on Tuesday, March 5 and Butler, PA on Wednesday March 6 at 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Pre-registration is not required for attending or testifying at the in-person public hearings. 

Telephone Hearings will be held on Thursday, March 7 at 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM. You must pre-register by March 4, 2024 if you wish to testify in a telephonic hearing. To register for the telephonic hearings, contact the Office of Consumer Advocate toll free at 1-800-684-6560 or consumer@paoca.org. If you require an interpreter, please pre-register as soon as possible.
