The Pennsylvania Health Law Project and Pennsylvania Health Access Network are hosting a Virtual Information Session entitled The Future of Parents as Paid Caregivers on February 9, 2023 from 1:00 PM-2:30 PM Eastern.

Throughout the public health emergency (PHE), and in some cases even prior to the PHE, parents in Pennsylvania have been able to receive payment for providing their own children with home health aide services under our Medicaid program.

With the end of pandemic in sight, Pennsylvania Medicaid officials recently announced that when the PHE ends, they will no longer allow parents to be paid to provide home health aide services to their children. Approximately 450 households across the state will be impacted.

Join this virtual discussion about the future of this policy and the practice of paying parents as home health aides. PHLP staff will answer questions about what is happening, why it's happening, and what impacted families can and should do to make their voices heard in this process.

If you have any questions or problems registering for this webinar, please contact Danna Casserly at dcasserly@phlp.org or 215-625-3848.
