Department of Human Services Releases 2022-2023 Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program Proposed State Plan; Public Hearings Scheduled

The Department of Human Services (DHS) has released the 2022-2023 Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) Proposed State Plan for public review and comment. 

For those who don’t know, LIHEAP is a critical program that keeps low income families’ heat on during the coldest months of the year. For more information about LIHEAP, please visit these resources from the Pennsylvania Utility Law Project

DHS will hold three virtual public hearings to allow testimony on the proposed State Plan:

If you wish to testify on the proposed State Plan at one of the above hearings, you must arrange a time to testify by calling (717) 772-7906. Persons from outside the Harrisburg area should call (800) 692-7462 or send a written request, including telephone number, to the Division of Federal Programs and Program Management, Department of Human Services, CoPA HUB, Suite 240/250, P.O. Box 2675, Harrisburg, PA 17105-2675.
