Applications Being Accepted for 2023 Advancing Equity for Older Adults Cohort

National Center on Law & Elder Rights logoThe National Center on Law and Elder Rights (NCLER) and Justice in Aging are excited to invite legal services programs to apply for the 2023 Advancing Equity for Older Adults Cohort.

This program will provide trainings, peer-to-peer learning opportunities, and intensive technical assistance for participating programs that are deeply committed to improving their systems and service delivery methods to better serve all older adults, particularly those in communities of color or who face barriers in accessing legal services.

Cohort members will also develop a project to implement in their communities that advances equity for older adults, and receive targeted support on NCLER’s equity resources.

Interested programs should apply to participate in the 2023 Advancing Equity for Older Adults Cohort by Friday May 19, 2023.

Interested programs can learn more about the program from last year’s cohort members by watching this webinar. We also invite interested programs to register for the information session on Wednesday April 26 at 12pm PT/3pm ET.

The program will occur over the summer and fall, and participating programs will meet as a group on the following dates. To facilitate meaningful group discussions and technical support, applicants should ensure their availability for all or most of these sessions (exceptions will be made for special circumstances).

  • Wednesday June 28 at 2-3:30 ET
  • Wednesday July 19 at 2-3:30 ET
  • Wednesday July 26 at 2-3:30 ET
  • Wednesday August 9 at 2-3:30 ET
  • Wednesday August 30 at 2-3:30 ET

The above application is an opportunity for interested members of the NCLER network, and only programs who are interested in participating need to apply. Equity resources are available on ncler.acl.gov for programs who do not participate in the cohort.
