PLAN Spring Training for Utility Law Advocates (Webinar)
Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network, Inc. has scheduled a virtual training, entitled PLAN Spring Training for Utility Law Advocates, for Friday, March 21, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM Eastern.
Spring is almost here and will bring with it the end of the winter moratorium for utility terminations, as well as the end of LIHEAP season. This session will help prepare new and seasoned advocates for a possible influx of utility termination cases and other utility related issues during this time.
This session will also discuss how bankruptcy may be utilized to address unresolved utility debts, prevent termination, or help customers get reconnected. This session will provide important updates on utility practices across Pennsylvania, as well as a question-and-answer session where advocates can ask questions about the webinar and their cases.
Presenters:
- Catherine Martin – Neighborhood Legal Services
- John Sweet and Ria Pereira – Pennsylvania Utility Law Project
- Charlotte Edelstein – Community Legal Services
