An Overview of Subsidized Childcare in Pennsylvania (Webinar)
The Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network Public Benefits Law Group will be holding a virtual training for legal advocates entitled An Overview of Subsidized Childcare in Pennsylvania on Thursday, March 28, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Eastern.
This session will provide an overview of Pennsylvania’s three subsidized childcare programs, serving TANF, Former TANF, SNAP, and low-income families.
We will cover basic eligibility rules and policies for each of the three programs [TANF, SNAP, and low-income (ELRC) subsidy programs]; how and where families can apply; transition from one program to another; appeal rights; and where to find the law governing each program.
The session will also review important, “family-friendly” rule changes in the low-income (ELRC) subsidy program resulting from Congress’ Reauthorization of the Childcare and Development Block Grant Act, recently codified by DHS in Pennsylvania regulations.
This training will be presented by Peter Zurflieh and Louise Hayes.
A significant portion of time will be reserved for questions and follow-up.
