PLAN is excited to host an interactive trial advocacy skills training session on September 18, 2024, as part of our pre-conference schedule. This engaging full-day event will feature a blend of lectures and small group workshops, centered around a hypothetical case file. Participants will receive all necessary materials, including the agenda and instructions, in advance. Please note that a homework assignment will be part of the training, and participants are expected to come prepared for active involvement.

Who Should Attend:

NOTICE: All available slots for this training program have been filled. Anyone registering for the training will be placed on a waitlist. Waitlist members will be added to the training if any of the currently registered attendees become unavailable to attend the training. Replacements will be selected based on the earliest application date. If you are moved from the waitlist to being able to attend, you will receive an email notification from PLAN staff.

The training is designed for PLAN Network attorneys with less than five years of practice experience. While experienced attorneys are also welcome, priority will be given to our target audience of newer attorneys. The training aims to help public interest attorneys enhance their trial advocacy skills. Participation is capped at 24 attendees, with additional registrants placed on a waitlist.

Registration is complimentary for PLAN program staff. 

CLE Credits

CLE credits will be available only to currently licensed attorneys. Although bar examinees are welcome to participate, they will not be eligible to receive credits. The amount of credit available to attendees is still being finalize along with the agenda.
