2024 PLAN Employment Law Group Meeting

The PLAN Employment Law Group’s next meeting and training is scheduled for Thursday, June 27, 2024 at the Hilton Harrisburg.

Join us for updated training and information on what's happening in the employment and unemployment world, and take some time to get to know your colleagues across the state!

The meeting will feature panels with the leadership of DLI's Office of Unemployment Compensation and current Board members of the Unemployment Compensation Board of Appeals.  We also hope to spend some time as a group matching newer attorneys with more experienced attorneys for networking and mentorship.

The program will also include:

  • An update on recent Supreme Court and Commonwealth Court decisions;
  • A refresher on how the ChildLine registry works, the impact on the ability of clients to work, and best practices for representing clients to get off the Registry; and
  • A discussion of Clean Slate 3.0 implementation issues, includes eligibility barriers, advising clients about sealed records, and outreach. We hope advocates will bring issues for discussion!
