Free CLE: Lifting The Fog On Health Care Reform: Policy and Transactions

Penn State University, The Dickinson School of Law, is offering a free CLE program entitled, Lifting The Fog On Health Care Reform: Policy and Transactions, on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 • 5:15 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. ET. The presentation will be available at both 118 Katz Building in University Park and, via simulcast to 148 Advantica Building in Carlisle. The program will also be available via live webcast but no CLE credit is available to those attending via the webcast.

FREE CLE Credits: This program has been approved by the Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board for three hours of substantive law, practice, and procedure CLE credit. However, Pennsylvania CLE credits will be available only to those attending the program at University Park or Carlisle and will not be available for those participating via the Internet. Uniform certificates of attendance will be provided for self-reporting by those attendees desiring CLE credit for other states.

To successfully navigate the waters of health care reform, the legal profession first needs to better understand both the policy and the transactional issues, including mergers and acquisitions, that will arise as a result of proposed legislation.

Participants can expect the panelists to:

  • Describe the principal elements of current proposed legislation
  • Provide insights into the implications of impending policy shifts
  • Explain how expected changes will affect the structure of the health care industry
  • Predict the impact of reform on antitrust, mergers, and acquisitions on health care clients
  • Provide helpful hints for supporting and advising clients
