Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network, Inc. will be hosting its first-ever Juneteenth Gymboree on June 12-14, 2024. 

Juneteenth Gymboree is an event developed by the Director of DEIB & HR Operations and the DEIB Support Specialist that recognizes the holiday of Juneteenth. Additionally, it serves as an annual event to increase funding for DEIB initiatives within PLAN that engages the local community. The gymboree is a 3-day event that includes a giving telethon, social event, and give-a-ways.  

What is “Gymboree” - Gymboree has the same meaning as Jamboree, which refers to a party or celebration. The spelling relates to contemporary slang in Black culture. This spelling was an intentional effort to bring awareness to the use of African-American Vernacular English (AAVE) within the Black community.
